PR-N05 — Natural Ground, Ultrafine

Reference specifications for technical comparison. Review final specifications against the grade data sheet, batch certificate of analysis and application requirements.

Specification source: PlaxRaw grade specification — built from published industry sources: LKAB Minerals (fineness/particle-size definitions), Karanwal Lime Chem (typical GCC composition range), IMA Europe. Not yet confirmed against one supplier's certified TDS — see disclosure above. (2026-08-23)

PR-N05 is PlaxRaw’s ultrafine natural ground calcium carbonate (GCC) grade — mechanically ground and air-classified from natural limestone to a mean particle size (D50) around 5 microns, the fine end of the standard GCC classification used across the industry.

At this fineness, GCC is typically selected where surface finish, gloss, or higher filler loading without excessive viscosity increase matters more than raw cost — masterbatch and film-grade plastics compounding, fine paper coating, and cosmetic-grade fillers are the usual destinations for material in this particle-size band.

What this page is, honestly: the values above are typical, published ranges for ultrafine ground calcium carbonate drawn from industry references (cited below), not a certificate of analysis from one named supplier. Treat them as a starting specification to confirm against the actual shipment’s TDS before use in a formulation-critical application.
